Was anyone able to remove the airbox from the frame? How?

Of course it's possible, but it's been a while since I've done it so I don't remember the steps. But actually it's rather straightforward I think, just remove anything that's in the way. All in all it's a very tight fit. If I remember it right you have to remove the fender from the frame and pretty much anything else.

Yes, maybe through the back, after removing the rear fender.
