Hi guys,
Do you think i can use the signal from the wheel speed sensor for a Trailtech Vapor dashboard?
does the wheel sensor need to get power? there are 3 wires
Thanks

Speedometer sensor signal
Re: Speedometer sensor signal
Perhaps. I want to take it for a Racetronics Speedo and it won' t go. Look at kararsche.wordpress.com. Andreas took another Speedo and it goes.

Re: Speedometer sensor signal
I installed an aftermarket speedo on my project bike, the same as Knüppi did.
This is my diagram:
To the left you can see that the Speedo has three lines for the speed signal (ss): ss power, ss signal and ground.
The bike has two wires: orange/red is power, pink is signal.
Just wire the power and signal lines. That should be enough. You may wire ground parallel to the ground line the speedo probably has, but I don't think that this is necessary.
