Hello ! Bref: i want to change the rear sprocket with a 41 teeth one (from Suzuki DR 650). Freewind has the rear sprocket with 43 teeth which puts it in higher revs than the DR. Example:

Freewind - 110 km/h at 5000 revs in the 5th gear

DR 65 - 110 km /h at 4000 revs in the 5th gear

Have any of you done anything like this ? Please, help !

Alex

Well ... DR 650 has the rear sprocket with 41 teeth and XF with 43 teeth.

I want to know if i can use a chain kit of DR for my XF and what would be the result .. ?

Thank you !

Sorry, i saw now that you`ve done that ... my question is: you`ve replaced only the rear sprocket or the chain as well ? (DR 650 chain ?)

Did you feel a lack of power doing this ? Less acceleration ?

As far as i know, the chain of DR 650 SE and XF650 are equal.
So you can use a chainkit of the DR as well!
Do you think you can feel a difference of 5% acceleration? I can´t!

That's true. I went 5% to the other side (shorter) and it is barely noticable.

Should've changed it by 10%.
