Hello Gentleman's,
my brother and i are currently building a scrambler out of a freewind.
the oil cooler is in a bad shape and we are looking to replace it.
there aren't any good condition oil coolers on ebay, and i personally think that the original cooler is a little too big.
has anyone replaced the oil cooler with another one and can share his advise, links, tips etc..
thanks in advance
Eran Kaufman
i have attached an image of how the bike going to look

Honda XR 400:

I haven't replaced mine, but this is what I'd go for. For sure it is small, but the XF engine is sturdy, and if you monitor the oil temperature it should be sufficient most of the time. I'd avoid inner city stop and go traffic in summer though.

I'm owner of a ccm r30 with freewind engine. The oil cooler got only half size of the freewind.
I've never had temperature problems.
Some 'ccm-racers' in the uk drive completely without any oil cooler but on racetrack there is no stop and go.
