Hello from Norway, I hope it's ok that I write in English.
I bought a 1997 freewind last week, it has only done 17000km and look brand new. On the day i picked it up from the seller, I drove it 450km home to Oslo with no problems. I was very happy, and the bike is absolutely fantastic!
The next day it started, but when i put it in gear, and tried to drive, it wouldn't go, and stopped. I first thougt it was me troubeling with the choke, but after many tries, it did not get any better. After googleing a bit, I found a movie on youtube. It described a damaged voltage regulator (spannungsregler). Do any of you have other posible solutions?

Re: Startingproblems
When engine is running without putting the first gear in, it seems to be a problem with switch of side stand. The switch prevents driving with folded out side stand.
